Cold Country

Located on 35 acres of gentle rolling hills in Kewaunee County, along Lake Michigan, lies a 16 acre vineyard and winery called Cold Country Vines & Wines. Cold Country Vines & Wines produces some of the finest hand-crafted wines from cold climate cultivars.

After five years of careful planning, extensive research and studying, Jeff and Kay Stoeger opened Cold Country Vines & Wines. Production began at harvest time in 2013 and Cold Country’s first release of its special wines debuted in May 2014. Today we offer ten varieties; five red and five white. Five more varieties are in production including an Ice Wine – Made from our very own Frontenac Gris, this limited release is a real treasure of the north.

Visitors to the winery and vineyard will be able to enjoy our surreal rural setting including horses grazing along the river valley. We offer FREE wine tastings and unique merchandise in our tasting room. See website for special event listing. www.coldcountrywines.com
